Meanie Productions Presents Orillia // Local Memory // Lillian King (solo)Under his moniker Orillia, Andrew Marczak follows the long tradition of country music’s more progressive stewards, commanding audiences with his unique bracing tenor and skeletal arrangements. His debut record, which was tracked live at Jamdek in his hometown of Chicago, marries the quotidian poetry of Sam Shepard with the direct, otherworldly twang of Sparklehorse.
Local Memory is a six-piece indie/alt-country band from Chicago, Illinois, led by songwriter Amy Myers & collaborator Matt Ciani, joined by guitarist Lucas Chamberlain, drummer Nico Ciani, pianist Nicole Murray, & vocalist Lydia Cash. The band’s latest single “Take Me Back” was released on August 30th, & is available on all streaming services.
Meanie Productions Presents The Alright Maybes // Moe Reen // The Darling SunsThe Alright Maybes play Chicago rock’n’roll with style, glamour and grace. With sonic elements from the last six decades, their variety of original music caters to a wide range of listeners. Their debut EP, Always Almost, is a product of each member, their influences, and the songs that live inside them.
SPECTACULAR SPECTACULARCome party with us at the Moulin Rouge! A live-action, shadowcast performance of Baz Luhrman’s iconic film, Moulin Rouge embodied by incredible Chicago talent. You will experience an immersive, fully staged version of the movie and are encouraged to sing and dance along with us. Costumes not required but absolutely encouraged!
***Please note: Color Club’s 100-year-old building requires stairs to access the second floor ballroom and museum/classroom. We are working on improvements to remedy this! The tavern on the first floor is accessible via the corner entrance at Hamlin and Elston. There is also one accessible bathroom on the first floor available by request.***
