FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

GENERAL INFORMATION

What form of ID do I need for entry?

Color Club requires a valid driver’s license or non-driver identification card, or a valid passport for entry. Valid ID is required for all events unless otherwise noted. Events at Color Club are open to all ages unless otherwise noted on the ticket listing. Attendees under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Attendees over and under 21 years old will be differentiated with a stamp or wristband upon entry.

When are you open?

Color Club is only open for events, with most occurring weekly Wed – Sun. Our hours are subject to change on a per-event basis. Always be sure to check our calendar or Instagram to ensure we are open for an event before planning your visit! Appointments for building tours can be made by emailing info@colorclub.events.

How do I enter the building?

Color Club has two entrances! For events in the Tavern, please enter through the blue door on the corner of Hamlin and Elston. For events in the Ballroom, please enter through the double doors on Hamlin.

When in season, The Sugar Hole window is located outside on Hamlin to the left of the main double doors. You do not need to enter the building to visit The Sugar Hole.

Entrances for Lot’sa and Colossal/Joy Machine are located on Elston.

How do I book a show or private event at Color Club?

Send a proposal or your event details to info@colorclub.events and our team will respond as soon as possible. We’re excited to work with you!

Where are the bathrooms?

On the first floor, there are two all gender bathrooms, as well as an ADA accessible bathroom available upon request. On the second floor, there are two all gender bathrooms on either side of the ballroom lobby. There is also one single use bathroom in the hallway available by request (or dedicated to museum events).

Is Color Club BYOB?

No, Color Club does not allow outside beverages of any type (alcohol or nonalcoholic). We have a zero tolerance policy for outside alcohol. Should outside beverages be found, you/your party will be asked to leave and the event host may be fined. We have a full bar available on both floors with lots of options. We often provide complimentary ice water and you may bring an empty, reusable water bottle, if desired.

How long after doors open does a show start?

Live music generally begins 30 minutes after doors open, however set times are always subject to change without notice. Timeline details are provided on DICE ticket listings when known. If you are excited to see the opening artist, we suggest you arrive when doors open to ensure you catch them!

Where should I park?

Color Club does not have a parking lot, but there is ample, free street parking available on the surrounding side streets. If you park in the lot of another business, you are subject to their towing policies.

Color Club is only a 10-minute walk from the Irving Park Blue Line station.

For private events, Color Club may be able to arrange a dedicated parking lot for your guests and/or a few dedicated spots for vendors.

Do you have a coat/bag check?

Color Club does not have a formal coat/bag check, but there are coat racks available in both the Tavern and Ballroom spaces. Guests with large bags can expect Color Club security to visually inspect the contents to ensure everyone’s safety. Again, no outside beverages are permitted, but empty, reusable water bottles are allowed.

TICKETING

I bought tickets to a show I cannot attend – what should I do?

If your ticket was purchased through our ticketing partner, DICE, you may be able to release your tickets to the waitlist for a full refund. If there is no waitlist, a refund may not be possible, but you can always send tickets to friend through the DICE app. View more on DICE regarding refunds, cancellations or postponements.

If your ticket was purchased through any other ticketing platform, you will need to contact that event host directly to see what your options are.

The show I’d like to attend is sold out – what should I do?

If the event is listed through any other ticketing platform, you will need to contact that event host directly to see what your options are.

Our ticketing partner DICE operates a safe and secure ticket exchange marketplace on their app called Waitlist. Subscribe to DICE’s Waitlist functionality to be notified if/when other users are looking to offload their tickets for sold out events.

Is there re-entry?

Yes, please be sure to show Color Club security your admission stamp for re-entry. However, if an event is at capacity and you choose to leave, re-entry is not guaranteed. All beverages must remain inside the building when you exit.

Will tickets be available to purchase at the door?

If an event does not say SOLD OUT on the ticket listing, there will be tickets available at the door! We typically stop pre-sales online about 2 hours before doors open. Ticket prices may be slightly higher at the door.
